I’m extremely sadden by the turn Flying Possum has taken. The original owners were so knowledgeable and generous with their time and customer service. I recently purchased a pair of vintage chaps which needed some love, and conditioning and trusted FP to restore them. Fast forward, FIVE months later my husband and I thought we’d pop by to check on the progress of my chaps. After we reminded them about my chaps the two men responded “oh I totally forgot about those!” NOT what any customer wants to hear. Secondly after our shock settled that they weren’t ready after FIVE MONTHS, the gentleman’s response was “well I’ve been conditioning them every chance I got”....which is confusing because he confessed to me seconds before that he had forgotten about them. Their defensiveness about blaming the product is understandable to a certain degree because I understand they were dry....but five months later with no communication and to be rude and curt about the entire situation is uncalled for. The gentleman told us he’d call us in a week without a promise they would be finished and said “he’ll start on them right away.” I’m glad he miraculously gained a sense of urgency when we saw him ten minutes later outside for a cigarette break. That was when I decided to go get my chaps and find someone else to work on them. The whole situation was so bizarre and very unfortunate.
